IN-HOME MOVING
In-Home Moving

A few details is all we need to come back to you with something real.
Some of the most useful moves we do never involve a road. A bedroom brought down to the ground floor because the stairs have become a problem. A basement emptied so flooring can go in. Furniture rearranged so a living room works for someone using a walker.
These are real jobs with real weight in them, and they are exactly the ones people struggle to find anybody to do. A large mover is not interested; two friends and a dolly is how backs get hurt and door frames get wrecked.

Move Day
A careful, methodical crew protects your home and belongings, with the day planned so nobody is rushing off to the next job.
What People Ask Us to Do Inside a Home
- Move a bedroom from upstairs to the ground floor
- Clear and refill rooms for flooring, painting or renovation
- Empty a basement or a garage and put it back better
- Rearrange furniture so a room actually works
- Move a heavy piece — piano bench, safe, workbench, treadmill, freezer
- Shift everything away from the walls and back again
- Move between units or floors of the same building
Accessibility and Safety Rearrangements
A common reason for an in-home move is that somebody's mobility has changed. A ground-floor room becomes a bedroom, a chair moves nearer the light and the television, a route through the house gets cleared for a walker, a bed is repositioned so getting in and out is safe.
We do not give medical or care advice and we will not pretend to. What we will do is move whatever you or the people advising you want moved, and move it again if the first arrangement does not work in practice.
Assembly, Disassembly and Getting It Through the Door
A great deal of in-home work is really dismantling work. A bed that came up the stairs in pieces has to go down in pieces; a wardrobe that will not turn on a landing has to come apart.
We disassemble and reassemble as part of the job, and we protect floors and door frames on the route rather than hoping.
Before Flooring, Painting or a Renovation
Trades generally do not move furniture, and a homeowner shuffling a house into the middle of the room the night before is how a schedule slips. We can clear rooms into other rooms or into a garage, and come back to put everything back once the work is done.
Tell us the trade's dates and we will book both ends at once.
What an In-Home Move Includes
- A crew sized to the job — as much or as little as you need
- Floor, doorway and stair protection along the route
- Blankets and wrap on furniture even for a short move
- Disassembly and reassembly of beds and furniture
- Placement exactly where you want it, adjusted if needed
- A return visit to put rooms back after a trade has finished
- Removal of anything you have decided is not going back

Questions Families Ask Us
Is a job this small worth booking?
Yes — in-home moving is as much or as little as you need and no job is too small. There is a minimum booking, stated on our pricing page and in your quote, and within it we would rather do a one-hour job well than tell you to find a friend with a truck.
Can you move a bedroom to the ground floor?
Very often, and it is one of the most common requests we get. It usually means dismantling the bed, protecting the stair route, and thinking about where the furniture that was in the ground-floor room now goes — all of which we handle.
Will you come back after the flooring is done?
Yes. Give us both dates when you book and we will schedule the clear-out and the put-back together, which is cheaper and far less stressful than arranging them separately under time pressure.
Can you move a piano or a safe?
It depends on the item, the route and the weight. Send photos and measurements and we will tell you honestly whether it is within what we do — and if it is not, we will say so rather than attempt it.
