A few details is all we need to come back to you with something real.

Apartment moves are our home ground: a studio, a one-bedroom, a full suite, a seniors apartment, or one piece of furniture carried up to it. This is the size of job we run most weeks.

An apartment move is mostly a building problem rather than a furniture problem. Whether the day takes three hours or six is decided by the stairwell, the elevator booking, where the truck can legally stand, and how far it is from there to the door.

We ask about all of that before quoting, which is why an apartment quote from us takes a few questions rather than thirty seconds.

How it works

From Quote Request to Moving Day

Every move is different, so we confirm the scope before finalizing the plan. Here is what happens, step by step.
  1. Start

Tell us what you know through the quote form or a phone call. You do not have to know every detail before you start.

  2. Show Us

Send photos, a short video or a shared Drive folder, or book a virtual or in-home visit. Our emails guide you through what to send.

  3. Quote

You receive a written quote package to review and sign. Every move is different, so we confirm the scope before finalizing the plan.

  4. Move Day

A careful, methodical crew protects your home and belongings, with the day planned so nobody is rushing off to the next job.

Walk-Ups

A third-floor walk-up is a straightforward job done properly and a miserable one done badly. What matters is the number of flights, the width of the stairwell, whether there is a turn or a landing, and which of your pieces will not go up assembled.

Photographs of the stairs answer all four in about a minute, and they let us tell you in advance which items need dismantling rather than discovering it on a landing.

Elevator Buildings

In an elevator building the booking is the constraint, not the furniture. Most buildings require the elevator to be reserved, many restrict moves to weekday daytime hours, and a great number limit the booking at two or three hours.

That limit is a hard stop, so we size the crew to the window rather than to the load. Ask your property manager for the window and its length, the loading-door location, the posted height clearance if there is an underground bay, and whether a certificate of insurance is required.

Deliveries and Pick-Ups

Whether you have ordered something from Kijiji, Facebook Marketplace or a big-box store, we can collect it and get it into the room it belongs in — including up the stairs, through the awkward doorway and assembled if it needs to be.

This is one of the most-asked-for things we do and one of the hardest to find. Retail delivery generally stops at the kerb or the front door; we do not.

The Long Carry

In many apartment and townhouse complexes the nearest legal stopping point is nowhere near the unit, and a fifty-metre carry repeated forty times is a real cost in time.

It is also entirely predictable. Tell us roughly how far it is from the parking area to your door and we will build it into the quote rather than absorb a surprise on the day.

What We Need to Know About Your Building

  • Floor, and how many flights if there is no elevator
  • Whether the elevator must be booked, and the maximum booking length
  • The loading-door location and whether the truck can stand there
  • The posted height clearance of an underground bay, if there is one
  • Whether a certificate of insurance or a deposit is required
  • How far the nearest legal stopping point is from your door
  • Any items you already suspect will not fit the stairwell

Questions Families Ask Us

We are on the third floor with no elevator. Is that a problem?

No, it is routine — but it changes the crew and the time, so we price it in. Send photos of the stairwell, the landings and your largest pieces and we will tell you what needs dismantling and give you a realistic duration.

Will you collect something I bought from a marketplace seller?

Yes. Furniture pick-ups and deliveries are a standard service. Give us the seller's address, your address, what the item is, and what stairs or doorways are involved at your end.

What if the elevator booking runs out before we finish?

That is why we ask its length first and size the crew to it. If the window is genuinely too short for what you have, we will say so before you book and suggest a longer slot or a split move rather than discover it at hour three.

Do you assemble furniture at the other end?

Yes — assembly and disassembly are part of what we do, including flat-pack items collected on the way. Tell us what needs building so we can allow the time.

Moving Into or Out of an Apartment?

Tell us the floor, the stairs or the elevator rules, and what you have. We will do the rest of the thinking.
