If your work is helping older people and their families through a transition — as a senior move manager, a care or case manager, a PSW, a social worker, an occupational therapist, an estate or funeral professional, or a senior living advisor — this page is for you rather than for the family. Stallion is the practical, boots-on-the-ground provider you can hand the physical move to.

You have almost certainly had this conversation: the placement is arranged, the date is set, and the family asks who is going to actually do the move — the sorting, the packing, the furniture that will not fit, the house that has to be emptied.

It is not your job, and there is rarely a good answer to hand. A general mover will move boxes; nobody moves the whole problem.

That is the gap we fill, and this page exists so you have somewhere to point people.

How referrals work

One Call, and Your Client Is in Good Hands

Send us the client or introduce us by phone or email. We talk with them directly, plan the move around their timeline and keep you updated as much as you'd like.

What We Do for Your Family or Client, Plainly

So you can describe it accurately when you hand it over, this is the whole of what can come to us — any part of it, not the lot:

  • Planning the move backwards from the move-in date
  • Measuring the suite and deciding what genuinely fits
  • Sorting and downsizing at the older person's pace
  • Packing, in whole or in part
  • The move itself, with the residence's requirements built in
  • Unpacking, assembly and setting the suite up to be liveable
  • Donation drop-offs and removal of what nobody wants
  • Clearing the property afterwards, to a deadline if there is one

Where We Stop

We are movers. We do not provide personal care, nursing, medical support, companionship or care advice, we do not assess capacity or need, and we will not offer an opinion on a placement decision.

What we will do is work alongside you and to your timescale, and tell the family plainly what is and is not practical about the physical move.

Working Alongside You

Where a family has agreed it, we are happy to be in the loop with you rather than around you: one contact, one plan, and information shared to the extent the family has consented to.

On a compressed timeline — a hospital discharge, a suite that has come up unexpectedly — the useful move is often partial: get the suite liveable first and deal with the house afterwards. We will recommend that rather than push a full move into a week that cannot hold it.

What We Ask of You

Nothing formal. No agreement, no fee arrangement, no obligation. We would simply rather be a name you can give a family, and be judged on how the first move goes.

We name no partners in our marketing and we will not use your organisation's name.

What to Tell a Family to Send Us

  • Photos or a video walkthrough of the home, basement and garage included
  • The new suite's floor plan or room dimensions
  • The move-in date and any window the residence has set
  • What has already been decided about keeping, giving away or selling
  • Anything they are especially worried about
  • Who our point of contact should be

Questions Families Ask Us

Is there a referral fee or agreement involved?

No. There is no fee arrangement, no formal agreement and no obligation on either side. We would rather be a useful name than a contractual one.

Do you provide any care or support services?

No. We are movers and we are explicit about that limit. No personal care, nursing, medical support, companionship or care advice, and no opinion on a placement decision.

Can you work with a compressed timeline after a discharge?

Often, subject to availability, and we will tell you quickly rather than string it out. The usual approach is a partial move that makes the suite liveable now, with the rest of the house dealt with at a sensible pace afterwards.

Will you keep us informed?

To the extent the family has agreed to, yes — one contact and one plan is far better than information travelling in several directions. The family's consent governs what we share.
