Additional Services

The eight things people ask us for besides the move itself — and the reason one call can handle a lot of moving pieces.

Most of what makes a move hard is not the driving. It is the bed that has to come apart, the boxes that have to be unpacked into cupboards, the old sofa nobody will take, and the flat-pack wardrobe sitting in the hall in three cartons.

These are the services we are most often asked for alongside a move — and every one of them can also be booked on its own.

How it works

From Quote Request to Moving Day

Every move is different, so we confirm the scope before finalizing the plan. Here is what happens, step by step.
  1. Start

Tell us what you know through the quote form or a phone call. You do not have to know every detail before you start.

  2. Show Us

Send photos, a short video or a shared Drive folder, or book a virtual or in-home visit. Our emails guide you through what to send.

  3. Quote

You receive a written quote package to review and sign. Every move is different, so we confirm the scope before finalizing the plan.

  4. Move Day

A careful, methodical crew protects your home and belongings, with the day planned so nobody is rushing off to the next job.

In-Home Moving

As much or as little as you need. No job is too small. Rearranging a room, bringing a bedroom to the ground floor, clearing for flooring, or moving one heavy piece from one end of the house to the other — nothing has to leave the building.

Packing & Labeling

Full or partial packing with purpose-made cartons and materials, labelled by destination room and contents so the unload can be sequenced. Pack the whole house, or just the kitchen and the china.

Assembly & Disassembly

Beds, tables, wardrobes, shelving and sectionals taken apart properly and put back together properly. Dismantling is often the reason a piece fits through a door at all, rather than a last resort.

Unpacking & Put-Away

Putting things where they belong, not just onto countertops. Dishes into cupboards, clothes into closets, bathroom things into the bathroom, bed assembled and made — and the cartons and packing waste leave with us.

Furniture Pick-Ups & Deliveries

Whether you've ordered something from Kijiji, Facebook Marketplace, or Wal-Mart, we can collect it and get it into the room it belongs in — up the stairs, through the awkward doorway, and assembled if it needs to be.

Unboxing & Set-Up

New furniture unboxed, built, positioned and working, with the packaging taken away. It is the part of a flat-pack purchase that turns an evening into a weekend.

Appliance Moving

Fridges, washers, dryers, freezers, stoves and dishwashers moved with proper equipment and protection. Appliances need extra preparation and handling and can attract additional charges, so list each one when you ask for a quote. We can handle basic disconnection and reconnection of standard water and electrical hook-ups; gas connections must be done by a qualified technician, and that is not a mover's job.

Donation Drop-Offs & Junk Removal

Donations delivered rather than left in your garage, and general household goods, furniture and clutter taken away. There are firm limits: nothing bug-infested, leaking or hazardous — no fuel, chemicals, paint or propane. We will tell you what falls outside what we can take so you can arrange it properly.

Every one of these is available as a standalone booking. You do not have to be moving house to use them.

Brett and his team are always professional and caring, I feel as if they would treat each person they help move as their own Grandparent. They respect guidelines surrounding move times for our building, and make sure each piece they move is treated with care and concern.

Questions Families Ask Us

Can I book one of these without booking a move?

Yes — all eight are available on their own. A minimum booking applies, which is stated on our pricing page and in your written quote before you commit.

What will you not take away?

Anything bug-infested, leaking or hazardous. That rules out fuel, chemicals, paint, propane, and similar items. We will identify anything in that category at the walkthrough so you can arrange the correct disposal route.

Do you deliver donations, or just take things away?

We deliver them. The point is that the donation load actually leaves and arrives somewhere useful rather than sitting in a garage waiting for someone to have a free Saturday.

Can you connect the washing machine and the stove?

Basic standard water and electrical hook-ups, yes. Gas connections must be done by a qualified technician — we will not touch those, and any mover who offers to should worry you.

Need One of These On Its Own?

You do not have to be moving house. Tell us what you need and we will price it.
